Sirius Engineering was tasked with facilitating the implementation of the new Production Line 8 Project at PepsiCo South Africa’s flagship Weet-Bix facilities in Atlantis Western Cape. The Project with a 24-month timeline commenced in August 2020 and was commissioned in August 2022. The project included new Bulk wheat handling and storage, Process equipment, Primary and Secondary Packaging equipment as well as a new 4000 KVA standby generator facility.
It encompassed the construction of various new buildings and structures, as well as expanding existing facilities.
Sirius’ scope of services included the design of equipment (in conjunction with package plant suppliers) and services, procurement and project management on behalf of the client.
Following the successful completion of Line 8, PepsiCo South Africa has proceeded with the implementation phase for their Weet-Bix Line 9 project.
